Firstly, copyright does not exist for the purposes of reporting current events. I'd have thought that as a firm of solicitors you should know that. We feel that we are entitled pass this on to the news media, with the full backing of the law. Very sloppy.

Secondly, your client is aware of this document and the contents due to it being brought to their attention by various news media. Attempting the legal trickery of pretending that no-one is aware of it or has read it is surely beneath contempt.

Thirdly, whilst the site is not run by the FA Premier League, it is their "official" site as evidenced by the links from the main FA site, and therefore can be said to be run with the full support of the organisation.
